Reworks II

So I haven't turned in the rolls I need to develop yet. Probably by week's end and even then, they won't be ready until middle of next week. BUT, I did rework some old images again for you to enjoy until the new stuff comes along :) I hope you like them!

*For the first image, I tried to go for a more vintage look, so I gave it a slightly washed out working in photoshop. Original image is a scanned crossprocessed film of AGFA Precisa 100CT

*Second image I didn't really do much to it. I just boosted the color 2x over in photoshop. Original image is a scanned crossprocessed film of Kodak 64T Tungsten film show on a Holga.

*Third image I didn't know what to do so I tinkered around here and there. Boosted the color a bit and gave it a very slight and subtle canotype feel. Original image is a scanned crossprocessed film of AGFA Precisa 100CT

*Fourth image I took the same route as the second. There's really not much I could do without messing up the feel of the image so I boosted the color 2x over. Original image is a scanned crossprocessed film of Kodak 64T Tungsten film

*Fifth image I wanted to give it a grimy, and dirty b&w look and the closest thing I could come up with is giving it an orthro film touch to it using photoshop. Original image is a scanned slide of Fuji Sensia 200.

Reworks

I'm in a bit of a lull. I have a couple rolls of film waiting to be developed so I have nothing new to offer. I decided to rework some old material and post it as new (well, it is new to this page anyway as I've never uploaded them here ever). I'm bound to post many reworks in between times when I've got rolls waiting to be developed. Hope you enjoy them!

Role Reversal

It's my turn to be in front of the lens this time around. Rarely do I seriously let anyone shoot me other than me. I'm wouldn't say that I'm self conscious about my image. I'm perfectly comfortable in front of the camera as I am behind it. I just find myself behind the lens more than I am in front of it. Expect more photos of me in the near future.

Subterranean

I recently found some old photos I took many years ago that screamed to be scanned. I've always been drawn to subways and underground structures. There's a whole nother world underneath the surface that's just as interesting and fast paced...

All images are scanned from print film with little post process work. Subway images were taken in and around Los Angeles.

More adventurous

I'm feeling a bit more creative these days. I've been pondering a few ideas for future photo posts and I notice that I rarely take any people or portrait shots. Expect changes in that area soon. I'd love to share a bit of the ideas circulating in my head but I think I'll just keep them to myself for the moment. Until then, enjoy one of my usual inanimate object photos!

Some people are just naturally born with the talent/trait to bring happiness to others by the simplest of means. I find myself fascinated and drawn to such people. Personally, I think it already is pretty hard to bring about happiness in such a hectic world so I tend to treasure these people the most. Such a thing is rare for me so it's like a breath of fresh air whenever I meet them. I strive to become such a person...

Found

I'm pretty fond of park benches that have plaques on them. Sometimes the person who funded or donated money to have these plaques embedded on these benches have something quite profound to say. I think I found peace when I took this...

Perfection

Perfection can be made of the simplest things sometimes. A neat and tidy set of books that look like they've been well preserved upon a nicely made bookshelf and you have yourself something perfect.

Please, have a seat.

I seem to find myself being at Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles alot it seems. Every time I'm there, I always find something new and cool to take a picture of. I think this is my second time taking a photo of one of the many cool chairs but this second time, I think, is the best.

Some of my friends think that this photo would look better if someone was actually sitting down on it but I beg to differ.
